Dear Members,

It is with great honour & privilege that I present the Annual report of Poona Ophthalmological Society for the year 2024-25.

This year has been significant progress, academic excellence & service to the community. The events organised this year include,

  1. AGM & Installation of team POS 2024-25 on 7th April 2024.
  2. A-Z of glaucoma diagnostics & management CME at DMH on 12th May 2024.
  3. 1st Clinical meeting at DMH on 12th May 2024.
  4. Vision Panorama 2024-at Royal Cannaught Boat Club on 22nd-23rd June 2024.
  5. 2nd Clinical meeting at BVMC on 6th July 2024.
  6. AIOS ARC PG refresher course West Zone at DY Patil medical college on 26-28 July 2024.
  7. POS MOS Devkund Trek on 24th August 2024.
  8. NIO Pune Eyecon 2024 in collaboration with POS at Sheraton Grand on 31st August & 1st September 2024.
  9. 3rd Clinical Meeting at B J Medical College with a group presentation competition on eye donation with participation from various medical colleges on September 4 ,2024.
  10. 39th National Eye Donation Fortnight celebration and public awareness program at New English School Pune on September 8,2024.
  11. POS grand Cultural evening at PYC Hindu Gymkhana on October 13 ,2024.
  12. 4th Clinical Meeting at Bhandarkar Oriental Institute on Nov 10 ,2024.
  13. 17th annual conference of POS Spectrum 2024 in association with MOS on 14th & 15th December 2024 at C V Raman auditorium, IISER, Pune.
  14. MOS POS Sports Carnival on 4th and 5th January 2025 at PYC Hindu Gymkhana.
  15. NIO Pune Eyecon 2025 conference on 15th and 16th Feb 2025 at hotel Sheraton Grand.
  16. AIOS Prayogshala Connect at H.V.Desai eye hospital under aegis of POS & MOS on 23rd February 2025.
  17. CME at Bamboo House on 1st March 2025.
  18. POS box cricket on 2nd March 2025 at Metrocity Sports Club.
